I'm not exactly a fan of Scarlett Johansson. I find her irritating; she belongs in that category of people where they look like they think their fabulous, because everyone else is telling them so, and in their head, they are thinking, "oh.. yeah actually I am... yes, goddamnit, I'm perfect!" You know... like... Jeanette Aw. (Note that I said they look like that, not that I know if they are like that or not.)

That being said, I'm quite mesmerized by her recent MANGO Spring 2011 campaign. So I was talking to my sister -- fellow Scarlett-anti -- about how cool I thought the new campaign was. She responded, "maybe it's cause you can't see her eyes."

Which... got me thinking... so... the hideous-ness of the people who some may think looks gross is softened because you can't see their eyes? That, like, it makes their ugliness bearable somewhat?

Hmm?

Really?

Do people use that as a technique to hide their ugliness?
